Washington’da insan davranışlarını değiştiren gizemli bir salgın hastalık ortaya çıkar. Şehirde oğluyla birlikte yaşayan psikiyatrist Carol, kısa bir süre sonra bu salgının dünya dışı yaratıklardan kaynaklandığını keşfeder.
